Off Road

Got a little sidetracked there, didn't I?  Man, it doesn't take much to distract me and once I get off course it seems like days fly by before I even realize I've forgotten to blog.  Or clean anything around this dump.

This week started off nicely, with Monday being a holiday and Brett being home from work, I got to spend some nice one on one time with each of my kids.  Jack got the best of it, with lunch and an enormous ice cream sundae that said it was mini but was definitely NOT, and Sophie got the short end of the stick with her one on one being a trip to the pediatrician for her 4yo well child check.  But no shots, so it wasn't too terrible.  She is just the cutest little thing - and 3.5" shorter than Jack or Isabelle was at age 4!  I'm interested to see if Beatrice ends up with the tall genes or the short genes.  Something tells me she's going to be right in the middle.

After Monday the week sort of went downhill.  Or off a cliff.  I got up as usual on Tuesday (was that really only yesterday?), and was getting ready when my husband called and told me his car was broken and I needed to come pick him up.  Oh, and it's going to cost many thousands to fix.  Super fun.  So yesterday I got to shuttle two kids to school AND my husband to work, driving all over the place even more than usual.  In traffic that was backed up the wazoo because of less than an inch of snow.  It made for a less than peaceful morning.

And naturally the stress of that didn't exactly leave me in the right frame of mind to do any of my "to do" list, so I ... I don't know.  Wasted time most likely.  I don't really remember what I did yesterday.

I do know I spent the entire day thinking it was Wednesday.  Which of course means I think today is Thursday, and so I'm still all thrown out of whack and probably won't get anything done today either (note to self - find something that DOES put you in the right frame of mind to get stuff done because this place is the pits!).

Anyway, here's hoping I get back in to some kind of swing of things tomorrow - and that any upcoming financial surprises are on the positive side!!
